Why Torque

Why overseas employers choose Torque.

Recruitment usually goes wrong in the details: workers who cannot do the job, files that stall after selection, or nobody to call when something changes. Here is what we do about each of those.

Ten reasons

What you get when you work with Torque.

01

Government-licensed recruiting agency

Recruiting Licence RL-657 under the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare & Overseas Employment. Registered company, BAIRA member and Dhaka Chamber member. Licence and company documents are available for your due diligence.
02

Operating since 1999

More than 25 years of continuous overseas recruitment from the same licensed head office in Dhaka. We have worked through many cycles of Gulf demand and changing visa rules.
03

Over 50,000 workers deployed

More than 50,000 workers sent to construction, engineering, service and manufacturing employers, mainly in the Middle East.
04

Direct sourcing in Bangladesh

We source directly from our own candidate records, district networks, technical institutes and government manpower databases, not through a chain of sub-agents.
05

Trade testing and screening

Skilled candidates are trade tested through Montage Training & Certification, our BTEB- and MoEWOE-approved sister concern. Documents and experience are checked before shortlisting.
06

Documentation and emigration handled

Medical, contracts, visa coordination and BMET emigration clearance are handled by the same team that ran your selection.
07

GCC and Iraq experience

Saudi Arabia is our largest market. We have consultants in Basra and Amman for Iraq and Jordan, and long-standing employers in the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain.
08

Skilled, semi-skilled, technical and general

Engineers, tradesmen, drivers, operators, hospitality staff and general labour. Mixed orders go through one team with one plan.
09

Visit Bangladesh or delegate selection

Interview and trade test candidates in Dhaka with our support, review them remotely, or authorise us to select against your written criteria.
10

Direct access to management

Management is reachable by office phone, mobile, email and WhatsApp during Gulf business hours. Employer enquiries are normally answered within one business day.

Where recruitment fails

The real cost is a bad match, not the air ticket.

A worker who cannot do the job, a file that stalls at emigration, or a batch that arrives without a briefing costs more than a slower shortlist. We deal with these problems in Bangladesh.

The problem

Workers who cannot do the job

What we do

Trade tests and document checks happen in Bangladesh, before the visa is processed.

The problem

Files that stall after selection

What we do

Medical, visa and emigration are handled by the same team that ran the selection, with status reported by name.

The problem

Disputes in the first week on site

What we do

Workers are briefed on salary, duties and rules before departure, so expectations match the contract.

Visit Bangladesh or delegate

You decide how candidates are selected.

Many employers send a team to Dhaka. Others review candidates from their office, or give us written criteria and let us select. Each method is recorded.

  1. 1

    Visit Bangladesh

Your team interviews and trade tests candidates in Dhaka. We arrange venues, test bays, candidate lists and local logistics.

  2. 2

    Remote review

We send CVs, certificates, trade test results and video interviews. You approve or reject each candidate.

  3. 3

    Delegated selection

You authorise Torque to select against written criteria. The criteria and results are documented for your records.

Employer FAQ

Common questions.

01Is Torque International licensed by the Government of Bangladesh?

Yes. Torque International Co. Ltd. holds Recruiting Licence RL-657 issued under the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare & Overseas Employment, and has recruited under it since 1999. Copies of the licence and company documents are available on request.

02What do you need from us to start?

Job titles, number of workers, country and work location, salary and benefits, and your timeline. A demand letter is helpful but not required for the first discussion. You can use the requirement form, email info@ticobd.com or message us on WhatsApp.

03Can we interview and test candidates ourselves?

Yes. Many employers visit Dhaka to interview and trade test candidates, and we arrange the venue, test bays and candidate lists. You can also review candidates remotely by CV and video, or authorise us to select against your written criteria.

04How long does recruitment take?

It depends on the categories, quantity, destination country and how quickly visas are issued. After reviewing your requirement, we give you an indicative timeline to the first departure.

05Which countries do you supply?

Our main markets are Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain. We have also supplied employers in Jordan, other parts of the Middle East and North Africa, Asia-Pacific and Europe.

06Do you handle medical, visa and emigration?

Yes. After selection we coordinate medical tests at approved centres, employer documentation, visa and work permit processing, and BMET emigration clearance. Flights are booked through our IATA-accredited sister company, Aqib Travels & Tours.

07What happens if a worker fails the medical?

The worker is replaced from the shortlist and the replacement goes through the same checks. You are informed of every change.

08Do you work with manpower companies as well as direct employers?

Yes. We supply direct employers and act as the Bangladesh sourcing partner for licensed manpower companies in the Gulf. Terms, reporting and replacement handling are agreed in writing.
